Breakfast Protein for Weight loss
Protein in your diet is essential for achieving your ideal weight! The best way to ensure that you get enough protein is to make it a habit of eating it for breakfast. Therefore, breakfast protein for weight loss is paramount.
Eating 30-50 grams of protein with some high quality fats & veggies for breakfast will reduce your appetite – esp for sweet foods – and will flip your fat burning system into overdrive!
This occurs for 2 reasons:
- A protein-based breakfast stablizes your blood sugar first thing in the morning. That’s EXTREMELY important when you want to lose fat. Chronically high blood sugar levels are associated with obesity, heart disease, diabetes and more. This will then reduce your cravings for sugar and carbs later in the day.
- A higher-protein breakfast will also reset your brain’s responsiveness to leptin – a hormone that reduces your appetite.
This means that a high protein breakfast will not only put you in fat-burning mode but will also lower your overall hunger – how good is that!!
