In our last post, we talked about the importance of sunshine for Weight Loss. But there many other benefits for your health and well being from getting regular daily exposure to the sunlight, apart from sunshine for Weight Loss. We’ll cover at least some of these in this post! And of course, as your health & well being improves, your weight generally follows.

The correct amount of sunlight can have healing & cleansing effects on the body. Sunlight accelerates the elimination of toxic chemicals including metals & pesticides. Sunshine is a very effective treatment for conditions like acne, depression, eczema & osteoporosis. It also greatly reduces the risk of life-threatening degenerative diseases such as cancer, heart disease, immune systems disorders & diabetes by properly using the sun”s life-giving energy & unbeaten healing power.’

It is recommended that we have regular exposure, preferably daily, of as much skin as possible to the sun – ideally between 30-60 min in the form of sunbathing, walking, working or exercising in the morning or afternoon sun. Sizzling in the midday sun for hours, when the sun is at its highest point & you can get burnt, should be avoided!

The more fresh, ripe, raw, colourful fruit & veggies that you eat on a regular basis, the more you boost your immune system with antioxidants, & the more balanced & holistic your lifestyle, the longer you can stay in the sun without getting burnt, because we’re meant to be in the sun for a little while every single day.

Sunlight also causes a lowering of blood sugar, so its a natural insulin!
