Six Major areas of Life - Balance
In our previous article, we discussed on the 6 areas of life that Jim Rohn described. Today we’ll discuss the importance of balance.
If we pay attention to each of these 6 areas, using the metaphor that these areas make up a wheel, then your life will be flow nicely & smoothly – it will roll along just fine.
But happens if we don’t?
What would happen, for example, if we spent too much time and focus on career and/or business, but neglected the other five areas. Pretty soon, we’d probably have no friends left and our health would begin to suffer. If left unchecked, our spirituality and personal development would be non-existent and we’d probably end up in divorce, with no family. Our 6 areas of life wheel metaphor would look something like this:
It wouldn’t be a very smooth ride now would it?
So it’s pretty important to pay attention to all areas of life as this will make your ride through life smooth and enjoyable!
Balance, however, does not imply spending an equal amount of time on all six areas. We’ll elaborate further on how to achieve this balance in our next article.
