In this post we are going to discuss the inevitability of challenges for weight loss!

As we know, life is full of surprises, challenges & lessons!

These form powerful opportunities for personal growth & development.

So when we are setting out on achieving a desired goal – say, reaching our ideal weight, one thing that we can be certain of is that we’ll have challenges along the way. This is guaranteed!

So why not expect them & plan for them? Why not develop a process to handle any difficulties or challenges that come up? Why not also welcome these powerful learnings & lessons, knowing that they will help us grow and expand our comfort zone?

So what are some tactics we could put in place to help us power through these challenges?

What about:

  1. Having a group of individuals that work together towards achieving a common goal?
  2. Having a support group of friends or family that you could turn to for advice & assistance?
  3. Joining offline & online support groups relating to a specific outcome (eg. weight loss) that could provide a wealth of information & support?
  4. Find role models that have already achieved your desired outcome & see how they overcame similar types of challenges?
  5. Research & research & more research on successful approaches to tackle these challenges?
  6. Having a coach available to guide you through these challenges?
  7. Find experts in the specific field relating to the challenge that could assist?
  8. etc etc

Become an expert at handling challenges & obstacles by developing a proven system or methodology that you can back to over & over again whenever issues arise.

Given life is full of surprises, challenges & lessons, this would be very very useful in your life moving forward, especially when it comes to challenges for weight loss!

So my goal for you this week is to develop your personal strategy to handle the inevitable challenges you will experience when reaching your ideal weight. Be ready for them, so that when they occur, you will not only learn heaps from them, but actually enjoy the personal growth & development that comes from them.
