We all know the importance of staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water each day. In addition to quantity, the quality of the water can affect your weight loss progress by supporting or breaking down your fat-loss hormones. You should think about the source of the water that you are putting into your body, as many municipal water supplies contain toxic chemicals that will reduce not only your fat loss results, but also your long-term health.
There are many toxic substances contained in municipal water supplies, including chromium-6, chlorine and fluoride. When toxins enter the body, they’re encapsulated by fat cells as a means of protecting your body. By removing toxins from the water supply, you reduce the chances of toxin-binding fat cells forming, esp on your butt & thighs.
At bare minimum, consider investing in a simple carbon filter that removes many of the harmful chemicals in your water. For example, Brita filters are available at most supermarkets.
By consuming quality water, you should feel better, your body will detoxify faster & you’ll get better overall results by staying hydrated at a cellular level.
So when it comes to the question of filtered water for weight loss, you can either buy a filter or be a filter – which do you prefer?
