Fun for Weight Loss

In this post we are going to focus on the paramount importance of FUN for weight loss!

What is one way we can almost guarantee someone reaches their ideal weight?

MAKE THE JOURNEY AS FUN AS POSSIBLE!

What do most people want to do more of in their lives? What do they find the easiest to do?

All the things they enjoy & love doing!!

So how can we make our journey towards our ideal weight, fun & enjoyable?

Here are some suggestions:

  1. What is your favourite physical activity? Is it roller blading, walking along the beach/park with a friend/partner, walking the dog, dancing, karate, yoga, tai chi, bike riding, surfing, doing the gardening etc etc Why not then do more & more of this as your physical activity component of your ideal weight program?
  2. What is your favourite uplifting boppy song? Why not play this whenever your doing an activity re your ideal weight journey – for eg. cooking healthy nutritious meals, walking to work, cleaning the car, walking the kids to/from school etc etc
  3. What fun enjoyable reward could you give yourself for achieving your ideal weight goal each week? Could it be going to the cinema, getting your hair done, buying some new clothes, visiting a friend, going out with your special partner, going for a run/surf/skateboard?
  4. Who else you could pair up with to make the weight loss journey even more fun & enjoyable? For example, many of our clients show our 7 step weight program to their partners. As a result, both then utilise the program principles & then both receive the massive benefits from it. In an another instance, I currently have two ideal weight clients that have begun their journey together & so can now not only support one another, but also do many, many of the activities together.
  5. Break down ideal weight tasks into easier & fun micro tasks that can be easily & quickly completed. For example, making a healthy meal in stages – prep, combine, slow cook, serve up, eat, wash up, put away etc so that each stage is quick, easy & fun to complete.
  6. What are your favourite healthy foods – eg fruits & veges – that are appropriate for your ideal weight goal. Why not include more of these into your diet. Similarly with filtered water, green tea etc.
  7. What is your favourite inspirational movie where the hero/heroine conquers all obstacles to achieve her/his desired result. Why not watch this regularly to help inspire you towards your desired outcome, while enjoyable every single moment of the journey.
  8. Same with 7. but in regard to favourite inspirational book/podcast/youtube video etc.

These are just but a few of various ways that we can have a ball while achieving our ideal weight, as well as improving our overall health & well being.

As we want to make this journey as easy as possible, the more of these approaches we can use to make the journey as fun as possible, the easier and easier the journey will become!

So my challenge for you for this week is to really go to town in regard to thinking of all the different ways you can make your ideal weight journey as enjoyable & fun as possible. The more you focus on doing this, the more you will almost guarantee your success! FUN for weight loss is indeed paramount!
