Make it Easy for Weight Loss

In this post we are going to discuss doing whatever we can to MAKE IT EASY for weight loss!

Last week we discussed how FUN is one way we can almost guarantee someone reaches their ideal weight! The other way is to MAKE IT EASY!

One way of doing this is to make it very hard to do inappropriate actions that no longer support our ideal weight goals.

What are some of the ways to make it hard to do the wrong thing:

  1. What about banning chocolates or alcohol or sweet sugary food in your home?
  2. Parking the car further away in the parking lot when shopping or going to work, where it also happens to be easier to get a car park!
  3. Avoid going out with people that constantly tempt you with bad choices.
  4. Buy equipment that make it fast & easy to do exercise at home – for example have a skipping rope handy so that whenever you have a couple of minutes to spare, you put your favourite song on & skip away!
  5. Fill your work space with foods that are healthy & delicious eg water, fruit etc
  6. Join a exercise or walking group where you regularly walk together while having heaps of fun as a group!
  7. Start a team sport where you make a commitment to play weekly for a whole season – a sport that you really enjoy playing!
  8. Choose physical activities that you really enjoy doing, which you will naturally want to do more & more of.
  9. Find an accountability buddy report to weekly on your progress towards your ideal weight,
  10. Organise a coach that mentors and guides you, but to which you also remain accountable to!
  11. Reward yourself for achieving your ideal weight goals. Have penalties if you don’t!

These are just some of the ways we can make our progress EASY and make it difficult to do the wrong thing!

So as we said in our last post, as we want to make this journey as enjoyable as possible, the more of these approaches we can use to make the journey fun & easy, the easier and more our results become inevitable!

So my challenge for you for this week is to really go all out in regard to thinking of all the different ways you can make your ideal weight journey as EASY as possible. The more you focus on doing this, the more you will almost guarantee your success! Remember make it EASY for weight loss!
