So how important is sunshine for Weight Loss?

 

Did you know that low levels of vitamin D and Calcium have been found to contribute to weight gain?

To maintain your vitamin D and Calcium at or near optimum levels, there are many things you can do:

  1. Eat plenty of Greens,
  2. Go out in the Sun, or
  3. Take supplements etc

In his book Sunlight, Dr Kime explains the sunlight is one of the best sources of Vitamin D.

But he also explains the link between nutrition & diet. He says “Unless one has a proper diet, sunlight has ill affects on the skin”. He explains that sunbathing is dangerous for those who are on a standard high-fat diet OR do not get an abundance of vegetables, whole grains & fresh fruits.

Antioxidants are found naturally in richly pigmented foods such as all types of berries & many other fruits, dark-green leaves, grapes & algae. When people eat correctly, have a holistic lifestyle and are detoxified, reasonable exposure to the sun can’t lead to skin cancer.

But there are many, many other benefits from getting regular daily exposure to the sunlight, apart from sunshine for Weight Loss. We’ll cover at least some of these in our next post!
